Our Nine Systems

At C2C network, we believe that it is important to be prayerful in all we do, and to be led by the Holy Spirit. We also believe that we must use our best efforts to implement systems and strategies so that our new churches take root and flourish. To that end, we use nine systems in the C2C network.

1. Prayer

It is our firm conviction that the work of National, Provincial and City transformation is GOD’s work, and yet He calls us to participate with Him!  One of the strategic, yet often neglected disciplines, is the practice of prayer.  Historically, every great movement of God has been precipitated by earnest prayer.  We pray that we would see an outpouring of God’s Spirit over Canada in our day! To that end, we ask leaders wherever we go to commit to pray for Canada. It is our desire to see thousands and thousands of Canadians from sea to sea praying for the building of His Church across our Country.

2. Intensive interviews

We commit to a minimum of three in-depth interviews, with three different interviewers. The team meet, review the applicant, and after prayer and discernment, the applicant would proceed to assessment.

3. Our Assessment System

All potential church planters are required to attend an in-depth, three day, Church Planters Assessment Centre, run by the C2C network. At least 12 assessors interview and observe the candidates over a three day period to discern gifts, skills, abilities, and maturity. Only those who are affirmed in the necessary gifts for church planting proceed to our Apprenticeship Program.

4. Covenant Agreement

All of our Church Planters, before they enter into our Apprenticeship Program, are required to sign a covenant agreement regarding terms of employment, duties, job description, responsibilities and expectations. Our desire is to be clear with the Church Planter, right from the outset, as to what is required of them.

5. Apprenticeships

All of our Church Planters, regardless of age or experience, are required to enter our Apprenticeship Program in the city or town of the future plant location. This gives the Church Planter some on-the-ground training and experience in the world of church planting, and gives them time to build a core team. One of our values is also to understand the community that the planter plans to launch a church in. The Apprenticeship Program allows for this.

6. Financial Systems & Support

We offer financial support to assist the Church Plant. In order to qualify for financial support, the church planter is interviewed by some members of our team, and must agree to being coached by a C2C network Coach and form a task force of which C2C will be a part of.

We want to ensure that we introduce good financial practices and systems into the new church. This includes budget templates, financial record keeping, and good administrative practices.

7. Task Forces

Each Church Plant is assigned a task force to give leadership to the church plant for the first three years. A task force is an external leadership team who serve as the local leadership of the church plant. This team models leadership for the emerging leaders, as they transition over a three year period from external leadership, to internal leadership.

8. Coaching

Each Church Planter and Church Plant Apprentice is assigned a Church Planter Coach who has been trained in Gospel Coaching and who meets with the church planter on a monthly basis.

9. Monthly Training

Nine times per year, our Church Planters meet for a time of training, relationship building and prayer.  We bring in teachers to continue in the training and development of our Church Planters to ensure that they continue to be challenged and developed in ministry.
