Gord Fleming

After a long and successful career in the restaurant business, in 2005 Gord accepted God's call on his life to become the Executive Director of Church Planting BC.  Since 2011 Gord has served in dual roles as Executive Director CPBC and the National Director of the C2Cnetwork. Gord is married to Marcy, and together they have three adult daughters. They live in Langley BC, and attend North Langley Community Church where Gord also serves as an Elder.

Ron Leonard

Ron Leonard

Ron Leonard has been married to Bev for 29 years and they have 3 grown daughters. He is an Associate Director with Church Planting BC, and has served as an Elder at Willingdon Church in Burnaby since 1999. Prior to his joining Church Planting BC, Ron served on the Church Planting BC leadership team for 4 years, served on the BCMB Management Committee for 4 years, most of those as Chair, and spent 25 years as the owner of a business, manufacturing small submersibles for use around the world.

Chris Douglas

Chris Douglas

Chris is the former Lead Pastor of Central Heights Church in Abbotsford.  In 1998 he and his wife Dianne, along with their 3 daughters, moved to Canada from the Seattle area where Chris served for 7 years on the staff of a large non-denominational church.  His ministry has ranged from youth work to Fire Department Chaplain and has included a stint as a co-host on two different weekly radio programs.  In addition to having served as a pastor for 23 years, Chris has served on various denominational boards and task forces with the Mennonite Brethren.  Chris is also a licensed realtor in the Fraser Valley.

Colin van der Kuur

Colin is the Director of Church Reproduction for Fellowship Pacific.  He has 13 years of lead pastoral experience in church revitalization and a D.Min. in leadership and spiritual formation from ACTS Seminary.  He is happily married with two children just starting High School.

Doug Balzer

Doug Balzer

Doug Balzer has served in pastoral ministry since 1995 and currently serves as a Church Planting Coach for the Christian Missionary Alliance Churches of Alberta.  He also serves as the lead member of the task force overseeing the CMA strategy for church planting in Canada.  He has been married for 21 years to his high school sweetheart Teri and has two great middle-school boys, Jason and Austin.  Doug loves to spend time on his motorcycle and in his woodworking shop.

Doug Epp

Doug Epp

Doug is presently Director of Service Learning at Columbia Bible College. Prior to that he was the church planter / pastor of Crossroads Community Church in Chilliwack for 9 years. Doug and his wife Sandy went through an assessment process prior to planting Crossroads. He has been part of the assessment team since 1995. Doug has a heart for church planting and a desire to see people properly assessed so they can minister well according to their gifting.

Ron Toews

Ron Toews

Ron serves BC Mennonite Brethren conference as Director of Leadership Development.  Prior, Ron pastored two urban churches and concurrently served two police services in chaplaincy ministry; served as a provincial moderator; MB Biblical Seminary board member/chair, assistant professor of leadership studies, and interim ACTS Seminary principal.  Ron holds a D. Min. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield IL.  Ron’s current role finds him relying on a life of experiences and biblical understandings to help shape pastors and lay leaders for faithful ministry in and through the local church.  Ron can often be found serving churches and pastors as conflict mediator, mentor, and equipper. Ron and his wife Dianne have been married for 34 years and attend The Life Centre in Abbotsford.
