Bio

Alastair was born in 1981 to fantastic South African parents in Victoria, B.C. He was once a musician of a small, forgettable indie band, who toured with relentless dreams and unattainable hopes for several years. After a predictable and foreseeable demise (at least to everyone else), Alastair moved to Vancouver and completed an undergraduate degree in Communication Design at the Art Institute of Vancouver. He graduated with honours and was hired immediately at Rethink Communications. His career eventually took him to Orlando, FL to work for Relevant Magazine as their Creative Director. After a few years, he helped start a design agency, Maven Creative.

In a surprising turn of events, Alastair completed a Master’s of Arts in Biblical Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary and in 2011 transitioned into pastoral ministry. He now resides in Vancouver, B.C. with his wife, Julia and their daughter Ansley.
