Bio

Brett has been married for 10 years to Kristin, and they have 3 beautiful girls: Eden (5), Karis (3), and Lydia (1). The Myers live in Mahogany, and love being part of this vibrant community as they plug into whatever events and opportunities with which they are provided.

Brett came to Calgary for the first time in the summer of 2012 as he led a team from the church he was pastoring to help Southwinds Cranston with soccer camps in Cranston and Chaparral. During that summer and another trip the following summer, God not only gave Brett a love for the people of Calgary, but also began to call his family here. Through their relationship with Southwinds Cranston, God led Brett and his family to move to Calgary to help start and then pastor Southwinds Church at Mahogany. Brett, Kristin, and their girls absolutely love living in Calgary, and they are excited to see what God does as they plant their lives here.

Brett served as a Youth Pastor in Kentucky, as a Pastor to Young Families and Children in Kentucky, and then for nearly five years as a Lead Pastor in South Carolina. Brett has a Bachelor in Business Management from Berry College in Rome, GA; a Master of Business Administration from Brenau University in Gainesville, GA; and a Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.

Brett is passionate about seeing people come to Christ, and then grow in their relationship with Him. His favourite Bible passage is Isaiah 6:8- “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: ‘Who should I send? Who will go for us?’ I said, ‘Here I am. Send me.’”
