Bio

Chris and Marlene have served in pastoral ministry since 1996, with two 3 month short-term mission trips overseas.  They have spent most of their adult life in Ontario moving to Alberta at the end of 2011.  They have been married for over 30 years and have 4 adult children.  Three children, Kelley married to Jon, Andrew married to Jo and David; and two grandchildren live in Calgary and one child, Kristen married to Andy and 3 grandchildren live in ON.

Since they both have lived most of their lives in rural settings the opportunity to be part of planting a church in Langdon was a good fit.  Langdon has grown from 200 people to 5,000 in the last 20 years with 2400 moving here in the last 7.  With its close proximity to Calgary it will continue to grow in the coming years.  With only one other church in Langdon there is great need for The Neighbourhood to join in reaching people for Christ.  As our name states, it is our desire to connect with our neighbours as friends and over time help them in their journey towards Jesus.  God has provided a great group of people to be part of this church and we are excited to be part of what God is doing here. Please keep The Neighbourhood in your prayers and we hope to see many people come to Christ.  The Neighbourhood launched on October 27, 2013.
