Bio

Philippe and Isabelle became Christians in 1977 through the charismatic movement. They received ministry training at the International Apostolic Bible College in Kolding, Denmark from 1978-79. In 1981, they planted a church in Montauban, in Southwest France. The church became a missionary training centre for the region and beyond. For a period of 15 years, at least one new church was planted yearly through this training centre.

In 1988, Philippe received a vision to minister to francophone countries and a challenge to be a bridge builder among francophone ministries. Following a meeting among Christian leaders from five continents, the ‘COEF5’ network was founded to stimulate partnerships among French ministries. The network grew throughout the 90’s. In 1990, Philippe and Isabelle started the Francophone Missionary Centre, composed of pastors from various francophone regions who to this day do ministry internationally. In 1996, they moved to Montpelier with a group of young adults to plant a new church. Under their leadership the Languedoc Gospel Centre was planted and developed over eleven years. Arriving in Canada in 2007, Philippe’s passion of inspiring and accompanying leaders to plant relevant French churches was refueled. His personal mission statement became ‘Healthy leaders for healthy churches and healthy nations’.

As an author of many books, Philippe travels internationally where he is invited to preach the Gospel as well as share his vision for creative missional churches. Philippe and Isabelle, along with their team, are presently leading an edgy alternative church plant on the South Shore of Montreal at the 10-30 shopping centre. The church is situated in a movie theatre, allowing flexibility and room for growth. Philippe and Isabelle have six grown children and seven grand-children.
