Canada’s First Albanian Ministry

The nations are coming to Canada. Did you know that last year over 280,000 people made Canada their new home. Toronto, as it moves towards 6 million people, is the most international city on the planet. It is to this great city that God has called Endrit and Zhaneta Mullisi. Having recently passed our Assessment Centre in Calgary, Endrit and Zhaneta are focused on reaching Albanians across Canada.

In 1967 Albania was declared an atheist state by Communist leader Enver Hoxha. With the collapse of communism in 1991 hundreds of thousands of Albanians relocated to other nations. Today, there are as many as 30,000 Albanians living in Canada. Saved from atheism and Islam, both Endrit and Zhaneta know the power of Jesus to save from sin, darkness, unbelief and false ideologies. It is this message of the gospel that the Zhanetas proclaim and share with their fellow country men and women.

Please join us in praying that God will give this planter couple Holy Spirit boldness and grace and favor in their Albanian immigrant field. Pray that God gives them much fruit amongst religious and irreligious Albanian new Canadians.

Kelowna Church Plant to Launch

Monty and Denise Scott have grown up in the Okanagan Valley in BC and are proud parents to Hailey and Brianna. Monty’s background is in church planting, pastoral ministry, funeral service and commercial painting. Denise has spent the past 15 years working in youth and family counselling, and is currently a program director for Canadian mental health association.

The Scotts went through the C2C Assessment Centre and had a time of apprenticeship at Kelowna Gospel Fellowship. They have been gathering a core group of people, praying and making plans to launch Epic City Church on Sept 22, 2013.

“EPIC will be a life giving tribe of men, women and children living for the glory of God in our great city of Kelowna. Everything that we do will flow from this uncompromising calling and mission. Please pray and consider joining us!”

Montreal Church Plant Launch

Chris and Yanci McGregor met at the first day of orientation at Dallas Theological Seminary. Chris was a Finance graduate from Ottawa, while Yanci, from West Texas, obtained her Public Relations degree and her minor in French. A few years later, they earned their Master’s degrees from DTS while serving together on the staff at a dynamic church in Dallas. In 2004, they sensed God giving them a desire to start a new church in a multicultural and metropolitan city. Their passion for Canada–and specifically Montréal—led them to begin this exciting journey with their friends who share this same passion. ”We have much for which we can be thankful. God is moving, and we are trying to keep up. We also have GREAT need for prayer in this crucial season. Please pray that the Lord’s hand would be upon every decision, every word and every act of service that comes to pass.” (Chris McGregor)

Pray that the city of Montreal would prosper and experience the peace of God as the name of Jesus is lifted up through City Church.

Celebration Banquets – Manitoba

Come hear stories of how God is working, moving and transforming lives in Manitoba and across our country. The evening is all about worshiping God, celebrating His goodness and provision, hearing the gospel proclaimed, hearing stories from planters and their church plants about transformed lives, and sharing good food with good people. There are 2 banquets hosted in Manitoba (Nov 13 in Winnipeg and Nov 14 in South Manitoba). We will wrap up by 9:00 pm. While there is no cost for the banquet, a free will offering will be taken to help defray the expense of the dinner and help support the work of this ministry. New Church Ready to Launch

Brett and Alison Landry, along with their three young daughters, relocated to Vancouver in April 2011 to pursue the call to church plant. Through an extended time of apprenticeship, prayer and pre-launch gatherings they are now ready to launch a new church in South Vancouver. Prairie Assessment Centre

C2C hosted our very first Assessment Centre in Calgary on May 28-30. We had 12 candidates attend this Assessment Centre with 16 Assessors and 5 new Assessors being trained for future events hosted across Canada. It was especially exciting to have such a multi-cultural group of candidates (Haitian, French, Mandarin and Albanian).

CM2 Conference Update

May 15th and 16th in Calgary was the start of something new for C2C with the advent of the CM2 Church Multiplication Conference. Approximately 80 pastors from established churches across Canada came together to share ideas around multiplying ministry, reproducing mission and seeking Kingdom advancement as people are reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In addition to the peer to peer learning environment, numerous presenters shared with conference attendees what God was doing in and through their churches. While CM2 sparked discussion and creative thinking, it also afforded the opportunity for church leaders to gather together to pray for Canada. It is our continued prayer that God would have dominion from Sea to Sea as lives are transformed and people are reached for the cause of Christ.
